Split Rings, also called ‘double jump rings’, give added security to jewelry designs because their double-wrapped spring-like design leaves no gaps for fine threads and wires to slip through like the openings that are present in standard jump rings and O-rings.  They also do not stretch or pull open with tension as easily as jump rings do.  To chain jump rings together or add other non-opening components, charms and findings, simply use a pair of Split Ring Pliers.
