Gold-Plated refers to a process whereby a thin molecule of gold layering is applied by electroplating to a metal alloy or other material base. Although the surface coating is not as durable or permanent as Gold-Filled, and has a tendency to wear off in time, it provides an economical alternative to more expensive precious metals.

Also referred to as "Liquid Gold", these fine metal tube beads are super thin and similar in size and shape to Bugle Beads. Liquid Gold and Liquid Silver beads derive their name from the fluidity of movement they create when strung together end-to-end on multiple strands. They are most popular and frequently used in southwest-style jewelry designs.
