  PINK AGATE: is partially translucent with opaque pink and cream flecks, swirls and/or banding. It is one of the many varities of Chalcedony Quartz. Although the names for Chalcedony and Agate are somewhat interchangeable, the term "Agate" is usually used to describe the banded varieties of this translucent microcrystilline Quartz.

While all Agates are considered protection stones, Pink Agate in particular is said to be a grounding stone. It is believed to bring about emotional balance, benefitting both physically and intellectually in harmonizing the Ying and Yang. It is also attributed to enhancing mental function and improving concentration, perception and analytical abilities as well as helping one to overcome negativity and bitterness of the heart. Pink Agate is also said to promote the bond of love between parent and child.
