The Zuni tribe, of North America, are exceptional lapidary craftsmen.  They started cutting turquoise into needle-shaped stones around 1920-1930 and referred to this unique style as Needlepoint. Zuni Needle Point jewelry is still very popular today.

This dainty and intricate oval shaped pendant is crafted from 20 natural blue turquoise cabochons and set in sterling silver. It measures approximately 1" inch wide by 1-5/8" inches tall. Some characteristic patina due to age. Vintage stock, Circa 1990s.
