DALMATIAN JASPER: is a fine grained opaque variety of Chalcedony Quartz that forms in a multitude of varying colors and patterns. Found worldwide, Jasper often contains organic material and mineral oxides which give it interesting patterns, bands and colors. Dalmatian Jasper (also called "Dalmatian Stone" or "Dalmatiner") is named after the Dalmatian dog breed, whose spotted coat it resembles.
