Swarovski crystal comes from Austria and was first crafted in 1892 by Daniel Swarovski. Although not a natural rock crystal, it is the finest manufactured lead crystal to date and a favorite among jewelry artists and collectors. Having the highest lead content of any manmade crystal on the market (32%), it lends itself to the same precision lapidary techniques used for cutting fine gemstones.
