BOAR is a relative of Warthog and Pig. His ferocity, bravery and sometimes irrational fearlessness in battle has made him the mascot for many warrior societies throughout the centuries.

Boar was considered sacred to the Babylonians, magical to the Celts, a protective guardian to the Scandinavians, and Vishnu (the savior god of India) was said to have incarnated as a Boar.

Boar is one of the twelve animals represented in the Chinese Zodiac. They describe those born under this sign as cheerful, patient, encouraging, honest and sometimes naive.

Because Boar and Pig had large litters, they were often considered symbols of fertility in many cultures. They are clannish, preferring the company and safety of their own kind. Boar reminds us of the importance of caring for and protecting our community and families.
