Strength, Virility, Strong Willed & Impulsive

BULL was revered by the ancient Celts as a symbol of uncompromising strength of will, a sign of abundance and wealth, as well as a representation of masculine virility. Among the Egyptians, the powerful and virile Bull was associated with the pharaoh, who was often depicted as a Bull and sometimes took the epithet "strong bull of his mother".

The Cow was venerated as "the mother goddess" by the early Mediterranean civilizations, and is still considered a sacred animal by the traditional Hindu of India.

While the Bull has most often been associated with virility, boldness and rigidity; the Cow has represented the more gentler mothering and nurturing aspects. Together, Bull and Cow are a pairing of both masculine and feminine energies symbolizing balance, harmony and fertility. The Bull offers strength and stamina while the Cow offers love and nurturing.

Taurus, the Bull, also represents the second astrological sign in the Zodiac for those born between April 21 and May 21. According to the Chinese Zodiac, people born in the Year of the Ox are patient, speak little, and inspire confidence in others. They tend, however, to be eccentric and easy to anger. They have fierce tempers and although they speak little, when they do they are quite eloquent. Ox people are mentally and physically alert. Generally easy-going, they can also be remarkably stubborn (bull-headed), and they hate to fail or be opposed.
